Vishay VSMB2948 Series IR Emitting Diodes


The VSMB2948SL, from Vishay Semiconductors, is a high speed Infrared (IR) emitting diode. This surface mount (SMT) IR LED is a side looking device which uses GaAlAs multi quantum well (MQW) technology. The VSMB2948SL has a clear, untinted plastic package with a domed lens.
Suitable applications for the for the VSMB2948SL include things such as remote control and IR touch panels.

SurfLight™ series, from Vishay Semiconductors, consists of high power Infrared (IR) emitters. Their SurfLight™ technology enables the majority of the light and power to be emitted directly through the top of the chip. Standard IR emitters send their light in all directions.
