Extech 42570 Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer

The Extech 42570 is a dual laser infrared thermometer, meaning it uses two lasers to pinpoint the area you want to measure the temperature of and get a more accurate reading. It's particularly suited for professional and industrial applications due to its advanced features and wide temperature range.

This laser infrared thermometer features high non-contact IR temperature range measuring up to 3992°F (2200°C). It has a fast response time of 100ms with dual laser that converges to a single spot at approximately 50 inches from the target area. It also features a Type K input for making contact temperature measurements expanding your application use. In addition, it includes software, cable, and USB interface for continuous data transfer to your PC allowing further temperature analysis.

Features and Benefits:

  • Dual laser targeting indicates ideal measuring distance when two laser points converge to 1inch target spot

  • High 50:1 distance to target ratio

  • Response time: 100 milliseconds

  • Backlit dual LCD display for easy reading in low light conditions

  • Data hold - freezes the displayed reading

  • Min/max/avg memory: stores the highest, lowest, and average readings

  • Max-Min differential - calculates the difference between the highest and lowest readings

  • Adjustable emissivity for different materials (0.10 to 1.00)

  • High/low alarms with audible beeper to alert you when the temperature exceeds or falls below preset limits

  • Type-K thermocouple input for contact temperature measurement

  • USB interface: for data transfer to a computer

  • Tripod mountable for stationary measurements

  • Applications

Overall, the Extech 42570 is a versatile and feature-rich infrared thermometer that is well-suited for demanding industrial and professional applications. Its wide temperature range, high accuracy, and multiple measurement modes make it a valuable tool for various tasks, including:

    Monitoring industrial processes

Checking the temperature of machinery and equipment

    Troubleshooting electrical and HVAC systems

    Performing food safety inspections

    Building inspections
