The DeWalt 18 V XR impact wrench is a powerful high torque driver, heavy-duty yet ultra-compact tool. The brushless motor has been designed to run cooler and more efficiently, enabling more power to be delivered during application. This results in less wear and an increase in longevity of the tool.

The 3-speed motor settings including precision wrench control offer greater control. During forwarding mode the Impact wrench pauses before impact to prevent overtightening, in reverse mode, the impact wrench lowers the speed when the fastener is loose to help prevent runoff.
