RS PRO Steel Male Hydraulic Quick Connect Coupling, RS 1/4 Male
This hydraulic coupling from RS PRO is designed to screw onto the end of an existing hose. The built-in 1/4 inch thread allows it to be connected to a matching socket. The male connector has a built-in valve that prevents any fluids from leaking out when it's disconnected but will be opened by the pressure from the supply side. For this reason, this connector needs to be used on the downstream side of the connection.
The matching female socket includes a quick release ring allowing the coupling to be easily disconnected when it's no longer required. The high-pressure rating of 500 bar and +125°C high-temperature tolerance means that this connector is suitable for use in industrial settings, for example with a hydraulic system or other fluid supplies. Note that the connector is intended to only be connected or disconnected when the system is depressurised.
