This resistance wire from RS PRO is a special-category wire designed to control the flow of current in a circuit. Because it has an extremely high maximum operating temperature of +1150°C, it's frequently used in appliances like electric heaters and toasters.
The wire is made of a nickel-chrome alloy that's highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion. This means that there's little chance this product will rust, even when exposed to damp conditions.
