The RS Pro Setscrew is fully threaded and usually fully inserted into a tapped or threaded hole in the receiving object, without the other end protruding, in such an application, it would therefore not require a nut to secure it. A setscrew is designed to connect two or more objects. Example applications include automotive, machinery, engines, manufacturing, industrial equipment and white goods. The hexagon head enables the setscrew to be tightened and loosened, driven by a socket drive or spanner.
