This VGA-to-HDMI cable from RS PRO uses an active converter with a chipset to convert the digital High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) signal to an analogue Super Video Graphics Array (SVGA).
The HDMI connector is fitted with gold-plated contacts that resist corrosion and ensure accurate transmission of data, while the contacts on the SVGA connector are nickel-plated for durability. The cable is sheathed in sturdy, flame-retardant black PVC for increased safety and a long service life. The two male connectors are housed in a tough thermoplastic that's highly resistant to impact damage. The SVGA connector features finger screws, so you can make a secure connection without the need for additional tools.
HDMI is rapidly replacing SVGA as the standard connection for audiovisual devices. This cable will give you increased compatibility, enabling you to extend the working life of your equipment.
