What is a COSHH cabinet?

COSHH stands for 'control of substances hazardous to health'. COSHH cabinets ensure that a user can store hazardous substances safely and securely. They can also ensure the substances cannot be accessed by unauthorised users, often featuring a lock and key. Another vital feature of a COSHH cabinet is to prevent a substance spilling or leaking, which could cause contamination or danger to health. Substances have labels with instructions on how they should be stored, storing substances in secure specifically designed cabinets help ensure regulations around hazardous substances are followed.

Applications:

These types of cabinets are often found in the below environments, where users may be vulnerable such as children or animals:
• Schools
• Hospitals
• Science laboratories
• Factories and Offices
• Cleaning cupboards
