Each fastener is made from steel with a zinc coating, making them much more cost-effective than their stainless-steel counterparts, while still offering a high level of protection against surface rust and oxidisation.

Hanger bolts are much more common than you’d expect and are used for a wide range of applications. They have a unique, double-ended design, where one end is slightly pointier which is normally the end that goes into wood, while the other side has a flat head which would generally go into a metal mounting plate.
