Translucent Blue Boxes

The Hammond 1551 series is a miniature enclosure moulded in translucent blue, general purpose ABS plastic with a satin texture finish. Each enclosure has 2 PC board standoffs moulded into the interior and a lap joint construction which provides IP54 protection against the access of dust and splashing water. The lid of the enclosure is secured with 2 self-tapping 4x1/2in. screws.

Features and Benefits:

• Translucent flame retardant polycarbonate to UL94V-0

• Almost totally transparent to infra-red devices, ideal for applications where parts, sensors or indicators need to be visible

• Integral card guides accept 1.5mm PCBs

• Two piece lap joint construction gives IP54 protection

• Lids secured with M3x10mm Philips machine screws, threaded into integral brass bushes to assist repeated removal of lid

• External height includes 4mm for lid
