From Cynergy3, the SSF211 series and SSF212 series are horizontal float switches. They operate in liquids with Specific Gravity (SG) of 0.8 or above. These float switches are constructed from a reed switch and pivoted actuator magnet. SSF211 and SSF212 switches feature an N/C (normally closed) contact.

SSF211 float switches are designed for horizontal mounting within a tank. They are only suitable for applications where you have suitable access to the inside of the tank so that you can fit them. SSF212 float switches can be mounted from outside the tank and do not require access.

• While supplied with an N/O contact, you can easily configure this to N/C (normally closed) by inverting the switch by 180° when you mount it. Instead of the float moving in a downwards direction as standard, it would move in an upwards direction away from the main body of the switch.
• These float switches feature a compact design at only 47 mm long.
• The stem is constructed from SS304 stainless steel while the float is made from SS316 stainless steel. This ensures that these limit switches are suitable for use in the most rugged environments.
• All SSF211 float switches are fitted with a 1 m long 17/0.10 (AWG22) cable. They can be fitted internally via a 1/8” BSP thread.
• SSF212 float switches are fitted with a 1 m long 17/0.10 (AWG22) cable, plug and socket or M12 socket. This varies by model. They can be externally fitted via a 1/2” NPT thread.

This durable float switch from Sensata Cynergy3 lets you maintain fluid levels within a predetermined range. It has a corrosion-resistant, 304-grade stem made of stainless steel, along with a 316-grade stainless-steel float. This makes it suitable for use even in challenging environments. The 1/8-in BSP (British Standard Pipe) thread makes it simple to fit on the inside of your tank or reservoir. It's supplied with a normally open (NO) contact, but you can configure it to the normally closed (NC) position by rotating the switch by 180°. When the fluid in your tank reaches a minimum level, the switch signals a pump to operate and refill the tank. When the maximum liquid level is reached, the switch tells the pump to stop working. This means the fluid in the tank stays within the pre-set range to prevent under and overfilling.
