Cat 6 Long Patch Cables
What is a Cat 6 Cable?
A Cat 6 cable is an abbreviation for a category 6 cable. This type of cable is a standardized twisted pair cable for Ethernet and other network physical layers.
Typical Applications
Cat 6 cables feature more stringent specifications for cross talk and system noise. RS pro Cat 6 Long patch cables are ideal for networking connections between devices. The cable is suitable for narrow bending due to its kink protection.
Features & Benefits
These Category 6 cables are twisted pair cables shielded with aluminium clad polyester foil, they are delivered in shades of grey for both the cable and plug. These cables are ready made with RJ-45 plug and a click lock. RS Pro supply these Cat 6 cables in either 15 or 20 metre lengths, also features a moulded kink to encourage durability and protection. This type of cable can be FTP (screened) or UTP (unscreened).
Care Instructions
When storing your patch leads, we advise that you lightly roll your cables into a loose coil, going with the natural curve of the wire. When not in use, we suggest that the cables be stored in a protective case where dust and impurities will not get lodges into the connector ends.

Please note that if a Cat 6 patch cable, jacks and connectors are not used with Cat6 wiring, the overall performance may be effected. Each cable has been individually tested by leading engineers.
