StarTech Ethernet Cable, 7m Cable Length, White Jacket - N6PAT7MWHS

This ethernet cable provides a flexible network connection for industrial and commercial installations where reduced-smoke emissions are required. It is a Cat6 unshielded twisted-pair cable designed for general data transmission over copper conductors and is intended for use in environments where a thinner, high-flex link is beneficial.

Features and Benefits:

• 28AWG stranded conductors for enhanced flexibility in routing
• UTP construction delivers effective untwisted-pair performance for patching
• Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket reduces hazardous emissions in fire
• 3.6mm outside diameter permits tight cable management runs
• Rated for use between 10°C and 60°C for varied operating conditions

Applications

• Suitable for connecting control panels in automation cabinets
• Ideal for patching network switches in equipment racks
• Used for short-run links between measurement instruments
• Can be used for field cabling in electronic test setups

What material composes the conductors and how does that affect conductivity?

The conductors are copper and, being stranded, trade slightly higher resistance for improved Flex and fatigue resistance compared with solid cores.

How does the jacket construction influence safety in confined spaces?

The jacket is Low Smoke Zero Halogen, which limits toxic and corrosive gases during combustion, reducing risk to personnel and sensitive electronics.

Is this cable suitable for long continuous outdoor runs?

The cable is specified for indoor-type applications with a maximum operating temperature of 60°C and does not include outdoor UV or direct-burial specifications.

Does the cable meet environmental or material restriction standards?

It carries RoHS approval indicating restricted use of certain hazardous substances in its construction.
