Looking for a efficient method of protecting your oils, greases and other fluids from freezing? This heavy-duty heating element from RS PRO has a flexible, blanket-style design that allows you to wrap it around any drum shape. It's also suitable for solid melting, viscosity control and material maintenance at high temperatures.

This drum heater is made from multi-strand nickel chromium for excellent corrosion resistance and durability. For safety, it's insulated with two applications of high-temperature fibreglass yarn and laminated between layers of silicone-impregnated fibreglass. It also features a spring-lock function that lets you move the silicone band when liquid levels change to ensure you don't waste any heat.

Drum heaters like this one are ideal for aiding the flow of fluids in cold settings. You can use it to heat a wide range of materials to prevent them from solidifying, including plastics, gels and food products.
