The unit has an 81% conversion efficiency, which minimises the need for an additional cooling mechanism as its heat output is low. Slotting the unit onto a PCB is no problem, thanks to its compact SIP8 footprint. Continuous short-circuit protection is on hand to ensure safe operation and prevent damage to downstream equipment.
