Traco Power DC-DC Converter, 1.6kV DC Isolation Voltage, 80% Efficiency - TMR 3WI Series - TMR 3-4811WI

Turn voltages down a notch with this DC-DC converter from Traco Power. It has a 4:1 input range, meaning it can take any voltage between 18 and 75V DC and reduce this to a 5V DC output. As the load is regulated, it won't vary by more than 0.5%, so you can feed a constant power supply to sensitive circuits and components. Functional insulation with a high I/O voltage of 1.6kV DC keeps the input and output separate to boost safety and minimise interference. This helps the converter achieve a maximum ripple and noise of 30mVp-p, so your equipment can work reliably.

Features & Benefits

• Efficiency of 80% means it doesn't waste energy
• Light weight of 4.8g helps to keep equipment portable
• Remote On/Off function makes it handy for battery-powered devices
• Continuous short-circuit protection stops excess currents causing faults
• Operates dependably between -40°C and +85°C, to cope with harsh conditions

Applications

• Instrumentation
• IT networks
• Computer equipment
• Consumer electronics

Is this DC-DC converter safe to use in consumer electronics?

Yes. This device meets safety standards EN 60950-1 and 62368-1, so it's approved for use in telecommunications applications and consumer electronics.
