Alpha Wire Xtra-Guard 2 Abrasion Resistant Cable – Unshielded

The Xtra-Guard 2 range of abrasion resistant cable from Alpha Wire is a heavy-duty cable used in industrial applications where abrasion and mechanical abuse is common. This cable features a specially formulated polyurethane jacket which offers three times the tear and abrasion resistance of PVC.
Alpha Wires Xtra-Guard 2 cable has been designed with moderate to high resistance to most chemicals, solvents, oils and fuels. The cable also has outstanding UV light stability and exceptional protection against electromagnetic interference where the Supra-Shield braiding is included. Suitable for use with the FIT-750 range of heat-shrink tubing.

Choosing the right Xtra-Guard cable

There is an excellent range of Xtra-Guard cable available depending on your application:

Pro-Tekt delivers reliable performance in demanding applications. Pro-Tekt cables feature a unique, premium-grade PVC insulation and jacket that makes routing of the cable easier in small, tight spaces

Xtra-Guard 2 is UV, oil, water and chemical resistant and can be used in mechanical applications due to its excellent abrasion resistance.

Xtra-Guard 3 is also UV, oil, water and chemical resistant but can be used for direct burial with no conduit required.

Xtra-Guard 4 has advanced low/high-temperature performance and UV resistance.

Xtra-Guard 5 has been designed for hazardous environments and features excellent high and low-temperature flexibility, UV and chemical resistance.

Xtra-Guard Flex can be used in applications requiring a highly flexible cable.

Xtra-Guard Industrial Ethernet has been specially designed for industrial networking applications.
