Festo Compact Air Bellows, 1 Convolution - EB Series - EB-80-20

This bellows cylinder from Festo can function as either a driving component or a pneumatic spring. Its simple design means it has no moving mechanical parts or seals, so it can be used underwater. When supplied with permanent pressure, the unit acts as a cushioning component to absorb shock and reduce the noise of a moving cylinder. A driving force is achieved when the bellows are provided with both a pressure and exhaust function. The unit's design makes it suitable to install at low heights, so it slots into spaces where it's not possible to fit a regular pneumatic cylinder.

Bellows are not affected by stick-slip, so you don't need to worry about jarring that leads to excessive vibration or noise. This component can be mounted at a tilted angle or in a series with other bellows. You can use it in harsh and dusty industrial applications.

• Low minimum installation height of 70 mm for a greater range of mounting options

• Large force range of 1 kN to 50 kN

• Maintenance-free for reduced pneumatic system downtime

• Strong aluminium housing that's rust-resistant

• Allows for larger axis offsets and angular rotations of up to 20°
