Prevent damage or destruction to your sensitive circuitry with this RS PRO aluminium-housed resistor. It adds 220 mΩ of resistance to your circuit, so you can limit the flow of electricity. You'll mainly find it in industrial environments, ranging from telecommunications to manufacturing plants.
This resistor is wire-wound to ensure a compact size for its power rating. This makes it a practical choice when space is at a premium. It's also suitable for panel mounting onto flat surfaces using thermal heat sink techniques or you have the option to panel-mount it using screws in the pre-drilled holes. The resistance remains nearly constant over a wide temperature range, thanks to the resistor's low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), which helps to disperse heat.
This component meets the 18546 United States Military Standard (MIL), which assures it's a safe and durable resistor. It's also compliant with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 115 standard for electrical equipment safety. It's commonly used in situations requiring high power, such as load test simulations, lighting control and dynamic braking systems.
