RS PRO Aluminium Housed Wire Wound Panel Mount Resistor, 1.5 kΩ ±5% 100 W


Need to limit the flow of electricity in a circuit? This RS PRO resistor is designed for the job and is capable of adding 1.5 kΩ of resistance to your system. You'll find it in industrial environments, from manufacturing plants to building sites.
The resistor has a core made of a non-conductive material with metallic wire wound around the outside. This means it has a good power-to-size ratio and is well-suited to small spaces. For speedy cooling, it has a conductive aluminium casing to allow any heat to dissipate quickly. You can mount this resistor onto a flat surface using screws in the pre-drilled holes or heat sink mount it using a thermal compound.
This is an International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 115 certified part, which means it's tested and complies with international safety standards. It also meets the 18546 United States Military Standard (MIL) for wire-wound resistor safety. These resistors are frequently used in x-ray equipment, dynamic braking systems and control lighting.
