From RS PRO a high-quality Class F braided fibreglass cable sleeving or cable tubing impregnated with an acrylic resin to create a tough but flexible insulation material that offers highly effective cable protection. This cable sleeving has excellent chemical resistance along with a good temperature resistance and high electrical and mechanical strength. The sleeve is made from halogen-free materials so it won’t release toxic gases into the atmosphere when burnt and has excellent compatibility with Class F impregnating resins. This cable sleeve is easy to apply by simply routing your cables and wires through the inside. The flexibility qualities of this sleeving mean it is still able to maintain its electrical properties even after flexing.

This braided cable sleeve is lightweight and flexible and provides a protective covering and insulation for wires and cables. Select the cable sleeving diameter you require and cut the sleeve to the correct length, scissors can be used but If the sleeve is not cut correctly it can fray. To prevent fraying use a hot cutting tool such as a hot knife or a soldering iron with a sharp tip. Slice the cable braid using even pressure to leave an evenly sealed edge on the material. Once the sleeve is cut to size simply push and slide the cable sleeving into place over the cable or fittings.

Dust or broken particles from this fibreglass sleeving can cause irritation to sensitive skin therefore care must be taken to minimise dust formation when handling or cutting
