LAPP SKINTOP Series Cable Gland Locknut, M20 Thread Size, Grey - 53119023

This cable gland locknut is a hexagonal fastener MADE from glass-fibre reinforced polyamide designed to secure cable glands where only a plain pass-through hole exists. It is intended for use in electrical enclosures and panel installations to improve mechanical retention and reduce vibration-induced loosening when a gland is engaged in a threaded entry.

Features & Benefits

• Temperature resistance from -20°C to 100°C ensuring operational stability
• Complies with UL94 HB for material flammability performance
• Available in grey colour matching industrial RAL7001 panels
• Glass-fibre reinforced polyamide delivers increased mechanical stiffness
• Compatible with M20 thread size for standard gland fittings
• Contributes to improved vibration protection when gland is secured

**Applications**

• Suitable for securing cable glands in control cabinets and panels
• Ideal for automation equipment with threaded gland entries
• Used with polyamide cable glands in electrical distribution assemblies
• Can be used for retrofit of existing enclosures to enhance retention

Which temperature range applies to dynamic use?

Dynamic operating behaviour is specified between -20°C and +100°C allowing for typical movement and thermal cycling in installations.

Is the material suitable for short-term static loads at lower temperatures?

For static conditions the permitted lower temperature extends to -40°C while retaining up to +100°C at the upper extreme.

What approvals relate to safety and market conformity?

The component is recognised under cULus listings and meets RoHS requirements with CE marking for conformity.

Can this locknut be supplied without its collar feature?

It can be requested without a collar to suit particular mounting needs or clearance constraints.

Note

UL approval only when used with the UL-approved SKINTOP® polyamide cable glands
