Eaton Bussmann HRC Offset Tag Fuses - BS88 British Standard Fuses

Eaton Bussmann's offset tag fuses (or offset bolted tag fuses) are essentially a cylindrical fuse that is fitted with offset brackets, these brackets allow the fuse to be bolted onto a fuse holder. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage measure. Eaton Bussmann's fuses are commonly found within a multitude of industrial and switchgear applications, electrical equipment, wiring systems and circuit breakers. This fuse range is suitable for general purpose use.

Features & Benefits

• The low-temperature rise enables the fuse to be suitable for high-density mounting
• Fuse links, specifically designed for the protection of equipment
• Conforms to industry standards
• Low voltage fuse
• High rupture capacity (HRC)
• Suitable for three-phase applications
• Suitable for type 2 co-ordinated applications as defined in IEC 947-4
• Low power loss, typically 20% lower than the requirements of BS 88

Why use a slotted tag fuse?

A slotted tag fuse is distinguished by the metal slotted tags that extend off the ends of the fuse. This tag can either enable the fuse to have an offset tag or be centred to the fuse. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage protection measure within electrical circuits.

Eaton Offest Tag British Standard Fuse, A3, 63A BAO63

Use this Eaton British Standard fuse in your circuit breaker to safeguard against electrical short circuits and overcurrents. It's an offset tag fuse, which means it's fitted with slotted brackets that can be bolted onto a fuse holder. The fuse breaks in the event of an electrical fault, preventing damage to equipment and the threat of injury to personnel. This British Standard fuse is rated for general purpose use and is widely used within industrial and switchgear applications, as well as electrical equipment, wiring systems and circuit breakers.

• Compact 21 (diameter) x 87 (length) x 54.5mm (height) size for easy handling
• Functions at lower power loss than similar fuses for reliable energy efficiency
• HBC (high breaking capacity) of 80kA means it can withstand electrical voltages up to 500V before breaking
• Slotted blades can be used as offset tags or centred to the fuse for versatile fitting

Can I use this fuse in high-pressure mountings?

Yes – this fuse has a cylindrical body made of ceramic, which helps keep its temperature low and makes it suitable for use in high-density or high-pressure electrical installations.
