Energy Efficient Double Row Angular Contact
Part of SKFs new E2 energy efficient bearing range, with a minimum reduction in friction of 30% than standard angular bearings providing significant energy savings and improving service length. Further improvements in bearing life can be achieved with these angular bearings potentially running 5 to 30 °C cooler than the equivalent standard bearing under the same conditions.
Angular contact ball bearings are designed for applications where both axial and radial loads are present at high running speeds. In addition one double row angular bearing is more compact requiring less space than a matched pair of single row bearings. Optimal inner geometry means quieter and cooler running with a reduction in maintenance and build quality that exceeds the required standard promotes smooth running with less vibration and cooler running temperatures.
Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings are similar to Single Row Axial Ball Bearings (when used as a pair, back to back), however, unlike Single Row Axial Ball Bearings, they can accept radial and axial loads simutaneously.
