SKF Deep-Groove Ball Bearing, 8mm ID, 16mm OD - 628/8-2RS1

This deep-groove ball bearing from SKF is an innovative solution designed to support the effective running of your machinery. You can rely on it to support radial and axial loads in both directions and it prevents the misalignment of moving parts during operation to prevent damage to equipment. The precision raceway and quality bearing balls establish optimal lubricant conditions. They also reduce noise and vibration to reduce machine wear and improve workplace comfort. You can install this unit in high-speed and very high-speed applications.

• Bearing steel construction for a robust and durable component suited to harsh ambient conditions

• Seals prevent the entry of dust, moisture and other contaminants and protect the internal raceway and balls

• Cylindrical bore gives a high load-carrying capacity

Applications

• Medical imaging equipment

• Motor vehicle wheels

• Machine tool operations

How are bearings measured?

The size of a bearing depends on its inner diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD) and race width, which is the groove in which the balls roll. These measurements are given in millimetres (mm). Different applications use various sizes of bearing. You may even have to choose different size bearings for the same application, for example, if you work with complex agricultural or industrial machinery.
