The Power Integrations TNY289KG-TL is a offline switcher with line compensated overload power. It is most sought after product for applications like PC Standby and other auxiliary supplies, DVD/PVR and other low power set top decoders, etc. This package consists of a power mosfet along with thermal shut down circuitry and also houses oscillator, high-voltage switched current source, etc. which make the design take less components and takes less space over PCB.
