Master Lock

0:06 So where does your journey start as an individual responsible for a lockout management system or 0:13 lockout program or an organization? Um, you know, a lot of times, you know, working, uh, with master lock 0:20 and working with a lot of customers, they ask us to come in and do training for them. 0:24 But I always ask them, do you have any lockout procedures that we can take a look at? Do you have a lockout policy 0:32 that is guiding your overall lockout activities within your facility? And the answer a lot of times is no, we 0:39 don't have any procedures. We don't have a policy, but we want you to come in and train. And now I say, well, okay, we can do 0:45 that, but you know, what do we training for or against your procedures, your equipment, the training really needs to be specific. 0:54 There's a lot of work that goes into, uh, prior to, uh, getting that training done, understanding what types 1:03 of tasks are we doing? What type of lockout are we doing? Are we doing group lockout? Are we having our operators, 1:08 lockout knowing exactly what sort of tasks we are doing? 1:12 Once we have the understanding of how we lock out, who's locking out, capturing that in that policy, writing 1:19 those procedures, then we can get that training and really set our authorized individuals up for success in customizing 1:27 that training specifically to your lockout activities, your lockout procedures and your lockout, policy. 1:33 The biggest challenge, though, in making sure that all of the work that you've put in for procedures 1:42 and training and your policy is how are we gonna sustain that?
