Galvanised Conduit
Galvanised conduit is ideal for tough environments and outdoor applications. Due to its robust construction and protective coating, it can withstand harsh weather conditions such as rain snow and frost. These desirable characteristics make Galv conduit perfect for protecting cabling and wiring in exposed indoor and outdoor settings.
RS offer a great selection of high-quality galvanised conduit from well-known brands such as Adaptaflex, Flexicon, Hellermann Tyton and of course RS PRO.
What are the different types of Galvanised Conduit?
There are two main types of galvanised steel conduit, rigid and flexible.
A rigid conduit or GRC is a heavy-duty conduit that is strong and durable. Threaded at both ends to accommodate a range of fittings. This galvanised steel conduit conforms to BS4568 and is suitable for protecting cables in the harshest of conditions.
A flexible metal conduit or FMC is a heavy-duty galvanised steel tubing that can be PVC coated or uncoated. This highly flexible and versatile tubing has a spiral construction that makes it easy to feed through walls and around tight bends. Galvanised steel flexible conduit is long-lasting and hard-wearing providing ultimate protection for delicate wiring and cable installations.
