Molex SPOX Female Connector Housing, 2.5mm Pitch, 2 Contacts - 5264 Series - 50-37-5023

Use this female connector housing from Molex to securely protect your electrical connections. It mounts onto a printed circuit board (PCB) to establish wire-to-board connections for the reliable and uninterrupted transfer of electric and data signals. The nylon material ensures the crimp housing is suitably robust and durable to safeguard your contacts and wires against chemical, thermal and corrosive damage. You can use this versatile component to establish links between applications in industrial, domestic and commercial environments.

• Wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C for use in heavy-duty applications
• High mechanical reliability offers protection against shocks and vibrations and helps to extend the lifespan of contacts and wires
• Polarised to ensure the correct alignment and mating of contacts and prevent mismatches leading to faulty connections and short circuits

Applications

• Telecommunications systems
• Automated manufacturing and assembly lines
• Automotive electronics

What's the difference between a connector and a connector housing?

A connector has contacts or connection points that transmit either electronic or electrical signals in the form of data or power. A connector housing doesn't have contacts and can't transfer these signals. It only establishes a connection when paired with a connector – that is, the wire and the contacts.
