Molex 5264 Series, SPOX Connector Housings

The 5264 SPOX Series from Molex are a range of connector housings with a 2.5mm pitch. They have been designed for wire to board connections and have a spring box shape terminal hence the name spox. This series of crimp housings mate with the 5267 series vertical shrouded PCB headers and the 5268 series right angled shrouded PCB header.

• 2.5mm pitch
• 2 to 12 positions
• High mechanical reliability
• Single row housing
• Natural colour
• Box style terminal

Molex Female Crimp Connector Housing, 3 Way, 1 Row - SPOX Series - 50-37-5033

This crimp connector housing from Molex protects your electrical connections on a printed circuit board (PCB). It also helps to minimise the chance of you accidentally snagging wires during handling and installation. For ease of use and to prevent the connector from mating with an incorrect header, it's polarised. Its friction locks ensure a firm connection, so there's less risk of your wires working loose. A robust nylon construction gives this unit resistance to corrosion and abrasion, so it's suitable to use in industrial settings.

• Low pitch of 2.5mm so takes up minimal space on a PCB
• Self-extinguishing so won't catch alight in the event of a fire
• Wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C for use in harsh environments

Applications

• Routers and switches
• Medical laboratory equipment
• Security systems

Does this connector housing offer insulation?

Yes, this connector housing is made from non-conductive plastic so protects operators from electric shocks while they're wiring a PCB.

What's the advantage of crimping electrical wires?

A well-engineered crimp is designed to be gas-tight and to stop moisture and air from corroding electrical wires. It also doesn't need any heat to achieve a secure join.
