The Microchip MIC5207-5.0YM5-TR is an efficient linear voltage regulator with ultra-low-noise output, very low dropout voltage , and very low ground current. The MIC5207-5.0YM5-TR offers better than 3% initial accuracy. Designed especially for hand-held, battery-powered devices, the MIC5207-5.0YM5-TR includes a CMOS or TTL compatible enable/shutdown control input. When in shutdown, power consumption drops nearly to zero. Key  features include a reference bypass pin to improve its already low-noise performance, reversed-battery protection, current limiting, and over temperature shutdown.
