What is malleable iron?
Malleable cast iron has a high resistance to wear and strong shock resistance. It is also ductile and very machinable. These features make it ideal for a range of private and commercial purposes and it is less expensive to produce and use than steel.

If painting this product, the product has to be cleaned and primed with an etch primer before applying the paint finish.

Maximum side loading of 360 Nm, provided that the barrier is correctly fixed to a concrete or steel base (not timber). Mid rail centres, between upright supports, must not exceed 1500mm.
Consideration must be given to the grub screw, which tightened to 39 Nm, gives a slip load of 900kg (safety factor 2x).
