Toroid open wound dual 115V primary

High quality open style toroidal transformers with dual 115Vac 50/60Hz primary windings and twin secondary windings which may be connected in series or parallel or used independently.

Features & Benefits

• Small size and low weight compared with traditional stacked lamination types

• Extremely low level of radiated magnetic field

• Very low induced noise (hum)

• Very low iron loss

• Double insulated primary leads

Note

Mounting hardware is not supplied, available seperately

Warning

Under no circumstances should both ends of the fixing bolt simultaneously contact the metal chassis or framework as this would create a potentially dangerous 'shorted-turn'.

RS PRO 115 V AC, 230 V AC, 2 x 18 V AC Toroidal Transformer, 50 VA 2 Output

This toroidal transformer from the RS PRO range is used to step voltage up or down through electronic equipment. It's highly efficient and lightweight.

The transformer has a copper conductor termination wire and uses internal ring-shaped coiling to generate electricity. Compared to traditional laminated transformers, a toroidal transformer is smaller and produces less noise. It has low iron loss, meaning it holds power for longer. As it takes less energy to maintain a magnetic field, it also uses less power, making it a high-efficiency option. While it's generally safe and meets industry standards for transformers, you should avoid both ends of the fixing bolt simultaneously touching the metal chassis or framework to prevent a 'shorted-turn'.

This toroidal transformer can be used independently or connected in series or parallel. It's used to isolate electronic equipment from a stray voltage source or to generate electricity for TVs, computers or audio systems.
