RS PRO Toggle Switch, Panel Mount, On-On, SPDT, Solder Terminal

This toggle switch from RS PRO is used in numerous applications to switch between two circuits. As a single pole, double throw (SPDT) switch performing on-on operation, it allows only one of the two circuits it controls to be energised at any one time.

The panel-mount switch has terminals sealed with epoxy to prevent contamination during soldering. Its silver contacts offer the highest conductivity while the chrome-plated brass actuator will deliver an extended service life. The switch is housed in a diallyl phthalate case with excellent insulation properties. It will operate down to a minimum temperature of -30˚C and up to a maximum of +85˚C.

The switch conforms to North American UL standards as a safe and effective component.

Also known as a changeover switch, an SPDT switch could be used for example to switch on a red lamp in one position and a green lamp in the other.
