C10 Series 10W, Axial
Tyco C series economically priced resistors are capable of dissipating high power from a relatively small size in harsh environmental conditions
A range of high power resistors in small body sizes suitable for use in harsh environments. Their high stability and reliability make them particularly suitable for use in protection circuits.,The resistance wire element is wound onto a high purity ceramic substrate and employs an all welded cap and lead method of construction giving considerable strength and resistance to damage. The vitreous enamel protective coating is resistant to all normal PCB cleaning solvents.Application note. Terminations should not be bent closer than 1.5mm from the body. Recommended minimum bend radius is 1mm. For full rated power dissipation terminations should not be soldered closer than 4mm from the body. When cold, vitreous enamel has excellent insulation resistance; however the specific resistance decreases with increasing temperature. Therefore if the resistor is operating at or near maximum temperature it cannot be classed as insulating and should not be in contact with any conducting materials.
