Loctite Thread lock

The Loctite 50ml green thread lock is designed for locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. It's the solution for locking preassembled fasteners. Because of its low viscosity and capillary action, this product wicks between engaged threads and eliminates the need to disassemble before application. This product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. It can also fill porosity in welds, castings and powdered metal parts.

Note:

Testing should be carried out before contact with styrene, acrylic and polycarbonate-based plastics to ensure compatibility.

Features and Benefits

Penetrates tightened threads, porous materials and cracks by capillary action

Work on metal only

Ideal for locking preassembled fasteners, e.g. instrumentation fasteners, electrical connectors and set screws

Proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. motor oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids

Requires heat for disassembly
