Temperature Sensitive Labels

Temperature labels are temperature monitors consisting of one or more small heat-sensitive indicators sealed under transparent, heat-resistant windows. They have advantages over other temperature monitoring solutions in that they don't require a power source to work, and so can provide accurate feedback in challenging circumstances. Temperature sensitive stickers & labels allow for quick checks to see if the product or area has been subjected to compromising temperatures. They are often used in shipping applications to detect if unsafe storage conditions have been used for sensitive or perishable items. They are also used in pharmaceutical, food and medical applications.

What types of temperature sensitive labels are there?

• Reversible: reversible temperature labels can change back and forth as needed to provide an indication of the present temperature. One advantage of the reversible labels is that they can be used over and over again.
• Irreversible: irreversible self-adhesive temperature monitors consist of one or more heat sensitive indicators sealed under transparent, heat-resistant windows. The center of the indicator circles will turn black at the temperature ratings shown on the label, resulting in a one-time usage indication that the specified temperature has been reached.
