Honeywell Temperature and Humidity Sensor, ±3% RH Accuracy, 4-Pin SIP - HIH7120-021-001

This dual-purpose sensor from Honeywell measures both relative humidity and temperature for versatile use. It has an Inter-Integrated Circuit (I²C) interface that employs an Acknowledge (ACK) and Not Acknowledge (NACK) feature for efficient communication between the receiver and transmitter. This means it provides more accurate readings in a simpler package. Its digital output is easy to read and doesn't require any external software for conversion.

Thanks to its 14-bit humidity and temperature sensor resolutions, this device can detect the slightest changes in relative humidity and temperature. This makes it useful in sensitive applications, such as incubators and microenvironments.

Features & Benefits

• Condensation-resistant construction for safe use in moist areas

• Low current draw of 650μA in full operating mode and 1μA in sleep mode for optimal energy efficiency

• Wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +100°C for use in demanding environments

Applications

• Telecommunication cabinets

• Weather stations

• Grain drying systems

• Air compressors

What is relative humidity?

Relative humidity is the amount of water vapour present in the air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature.
