Tracopower 2A Step-Down Switching Regulator, TSR 2 Series

New and advanced ultra-compact range of SIP packaged step down regulators from Tracopower. The TSR 2 series offers a direct drop-in upgrade to the antiquated LMxx series. Boasting up to 96% efficiency without the need for extra heat dissipation such as a heat sink.
Another main benefit of the TSR 2 series is the significant advantage of using switching regulators over linear variants. Benefits for making the transition include better output accuracy and a lower standby current.

TRACOPOWER TSR 2 Step-Down Switching Regulator

The TRACOPOWER TSR-2 series of step-down switching regulators are great replacement for linear regulators as they solve many power supply problems. These non-isolated DC to DC converters are up to 96% more efficient with built-in capacitors and short circuit protection. Allowing full load operation up to +67°C ambient temperature without the need of any heat sink or forced cooling. The TSR-2 switching regulators provide other significant features over linear regulators. Providing better output accuracy (±2%), lower standby current of 2 mA and no requirement of external capacitors.

Note: If the input is switched electromechanically, a 22 μF / 50 V electrolytic capacitor at the input is recommended.
