Protect your equipment against sudden voltage spikes with this surge protector from Phoenix Contact. By blocking surge voltages up to 1kV and surge currents up to 10kA, the protector safeguards your hardware against power supply issues and lightning strikes.

For enhanced reliability, the device features an interference suppression filter that minimises disruption from EMI (electromagnetic interference). It emits a signal when it trips to alert you to potential hazards, making troubleshooting simple. The protector is designed for DIN rail mounting for ease of installation. It has a broad operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, making it suited to use in demanding environments.

Voltage surges, often referred to as spikes or transients are typically caused by switching of fluorescent lights, fuses blowing or nearby lightning activity. The worst voltage spikes are usually caused by lightning strikes and can reach up to 6000V, with current surges of over 3000A.
