RS 422 and RS 485 series DATA-PLUGTRAB® data link protection

DATA-PLUGTRAB is a two-part protection module (plug and base) for industrial bus systems and data signal networks that use a 3- or 4-core technique.
The bases' metal grounding foot on the PT 2x2 BE ensures a quick mount on the rail and, consequently, with the nearby ground potential.
Its compact design is only 17.5 mm wide, and it fits onto a symmetric rail.
Pluggable design allows communication to be immediately re-established after unplugging a device that has reached the end of its service life.

Phoenix Contact Surge Suppressor Unit, 20kA Maximum Surge Current, 14V DC Maximum Voltage Rating - PT 5-HF-12 DC-ST - 2838775

This surge suppressor unit from Phoenix Contact protects your electrical equipment from sudden spikes in voltage. If the voltage reaches its 14V DC maximum rating, then the suppressor diverts the excess voltage to the ground to prevent short circuits and overloads.
As the suppressor can divert surge currents of up to 20kA, it safely suppresses currents even if their power increases well above the voltage rating. The PA housing material is resistant to abrasion wear and impact fatigue to help the unit maintain its shape in challenging conditions.
The device is a two-part module, consisting of a base component and a protective plug with four pins, each protecting a signal wire. The device is commonly used with PROFIBUS systems to safeguard data transferral between programmable logic controllers and control modules in industrial automation applications.

• IP20 (ingress protection) rating indicates it's shock-proof for use in heavy-duty applications
• Operating temperature range between -40°C to +85°C for safe industrial use
• Compact dimensions of 17.7 (W) x 45 (H) x 52mm (D) so it fits into busy setups
• Mounts to a DIN rail for stability and easy access
