The Phoenix Contact surge protection device is designed to provide protection for a 2-wire floating signal circuit. It offers indirect grounding via a gas discharge tube and can be used in safety-related circuits up to SIL 3. With a narrow overall width of just 6 mm, this device is space-saving and cost-effective. It features continuous monitoring of protective devices, along with a mechanical status indicator that can be optionally integrated for remote signaling. Additionally, the impedance-neutral insertion and removal of protective plugs ensures that the signal is not influenced during maintenance work.
