UMAC small energy devices from Murata can be used as secondary batteries, but they feature a life span superior to that of a conventional battery. They hold a capacity (charge) rate of 80% or more after 3000 cycles With fast charging and discharging and low ESR, these devices have a high energy storage capacity that can tolerate fluctuations in load. The maximum charge/discharge rate is 10C (30 mA). Constructed from chemically stable materials, the UMAC series are highly safe devices as they feature low capacity and no thermal runaway occurs.
