This high-accuracy digital stroboscope from RS PRO is a mains-powered unit that combines a stroboscope with a tachometer. It's useful for determining rotational speeds in industrial environments and during machine maintenance.

The stroboscopic tachometer uses a powerful Xenon flash unit to illuminate an object at a flash rate between 100 and 10,000 flashes per minute (FPM). To easily measure the rotational speed of an object, simply adjust the flash rate using the range switch and coarse and fine controls until the rotating part appears to be stationary. The rotational speed is indicated on the digital display as frames per minute (FPM), which are equal to the object's revolutions per minute (RPM). It can be used as a handheld unit or mounted on a tripod for freestanding applications.

You'll find this stroboscope useful for applications such as monitoring the rotational speed of motors, pumps or conveyors.
