RS PRO Blue Solder Sleeve 1.4 to 2.7 mm

RS PRO solder sleeves are an easy way to join wires together. They save you both time and labour when compared hand-soldering, crimping or other conventional methods of wire and cable termination.

These solder sleeves come pre-assembled with an outer heat-shrinkable jacket, a pre-fluxed solder and blue-coloured hot-melt glue at either end. The solder's flux makes it easier for the solder to bond to the metal of the wires and the hot-melt glue provides moisture resistance. Simply thread the sleeve over one wire, place the other wire alongside it, move the sleeve back over the two wires and seal with a heat gun. The solder melts to form an effective electrical connection. The sleeve will shrink, insulating and taking the strain off the connection, and the glue will melt.

After heating, the connection can easily be inspected through the transparent sleeve. Use these solder sleeves in workshops or industrial environments at temperatures ranging from -55°C to +125°C.
