The ISL28022EVKIT1Z and ISL28023EVKIT1Z, digital power monitor evaluation kits demonstrate the functionality of the ISL28022 and ISL28023, Precision Digital Power Monitors. They feature bidirectional, high-side and low-side digital current sense and voltage monitoring with serial interface. The ISL28023 includes an 8-bit voltage output DAC which enables output voltage margining with DC-DC converters.

Current Sensing Amplifiers have a voltage output that is proportional to the volt drop across a very low value resistor, usually in a high-current power rail. Hence they measure the current flowing in that power rail.
