RS PRO Shim Kit, Spring Steel
This shim kit comes complete with six twelve-inch strips of spring steel to absorb tolerances and fill gaps between manufactured components. This means components that haven't been precision-machined for an exact fit can still be used together.
Each shim is made from metal that has been cold rolled, oil-hardened and tempered for a combination of hardness and strength. This process makes each shim reliably tough, so it will perform well for a long period before it wears down. The spring steel construction of the shims delivers strength and reliability under high stress.
As part of the RS PRO range, this shim kit has been tested for quality and safety. It meets electrostatic control and steel manufacturing standards.
