SKF Seal, 25mm Inside Diameter, 40mm Outside Diameter - 25X40X10 HMSA10 RG

This seal is a rotary shaft seal designed to separate rotating and stationary components and retain lubricants in rotating assemblies. It features a rubber outer circumference and an elastomeric primary sealing element to maintain oil or grease containment while limiting ingress of contaminants in industrial rotating equipment.

Features & Benefits

• Nitrile construction resists common oils and greases
• Garter spring maintains consistent lip contact under rotation
• Auxiliary non-contact lip improves contamination exclusion
• Accommodates minor misalignment during shaft operation

**Applications**

• Suitable for industrial motor and gearbox shafts
• Ideal for automation actuator rotary joints
• Used with electrical motor drive assemblies
• Can be used for centrifugal pump shaft Seals

What temperature range can it withstand in continuous service?

It operates from −40°C up to 100°C in normal use with short-term tolerance to 120°C.

How does it behave at higher shaft speeds?

It is rated for circumferential speeds up to 5.03 m/s and rotational speeds up to 3840 rev/min.

Is it compatible with pressurised housings?

It is intended for low differential pressure conditions and is specified for a 0.03 N/mm pressure differential.

What housing and shaft interfaces are required for correct fit?

The seal fits into a 40mm bore and runs on a 25mm shaft with a 10mm section width.

Are there related accessories to aid installation on worn shafts?

A speedi-sleeve accessory is referenced for use when shaft repair or undersize restoration is needed.
