Garmin GPS Sensor
The Garmin GPS 18x OEM sensor is a 12-parallel channel, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver. This high-sensitivity device is ideal for use in automotive, fleet vehicle and electronics applications that require a small, highly accurate GPS receiver. It also has real-time WAAS and RTCM enabled, so it can determine your location with high precision up to 3m without using an external DGPS beacon receiver. This is available in CMOS-level serial or USB 2.0 full-speed versions and comes with an integrated magnetic base. The puck-like receiver is 2.4in (6.1cm) in diameter and weighs just a few ounces, making it an ideal solution for applications where space efficiency is a priority. This sensor is offered in 3 different cable configurations. All the 3 versions of the GPS has non-volatile memory for storage of configuration information, a real-time clock and raw measurement output data for sophisticated customer applications.

Flash based program with new software revisions available through web site download
Non-volatile memory does not require battery backup
Waterproof design allows continuous exposure to the prevailing weather conditions at most of the locations
