Banner Safety Relay, Up To 100,000lux Ambient Light Immunity, 1A Maximum Switching Current - STB Series - STBVR81Q6

Make light work of switching with this self-checking touch button safety relay from Banner. When a finger interrupts the unit's infrared beam, it gets the push it needs to initiate a change in the system. As the module operates without physical pressure, there's no strain on workers' hands, arms and wrists. The unit is immune to ambient light, RFI and EMI, so you can say goodbye to accidental actuation. Thanks to a mechanical lifespan of one billion relays, this device will stay up and running for years to come.

Features & Benefits

• LED indicators quickly inform users of system status
• Reinforced PBT base resists corrosion to suit use in heavy-duty setups
• Reliable in 0°C to +50°C operating temperatures, so handles demanding indoor conditions

Applications

• Manufacturing industry
• Scientific laboratories
• Chemical processing facilities

What else do I need to make this actuator ready for a safety application?

While you can use this product in a safety system, you need a second safety touch button of the same type to get it up to standard. Once you have that, link the two with the AT-FM-10K dual-handed control module (861-4515), and you're good to go.
